Job Overview
Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), the Area Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing private office sales/renewals, developing referral partnerships and maintaining a strong sales pipeline across all Shift Workspaces locations. This role plays a key part in achieving occupancy and revenue goals, with a primary focus on prospecting, pipeline development, and renewals to maintain 97%+ private office occupancy.
Success will be measured by meeting revenue targets, executing inbound private office sales, and achieving high private office sales renewal rates. The ideal candidate has a sales-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with strong relationship management skills, strategic execution abilities, and a passion for community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Private Office Sales & Renewals
- Manage the full sales cycle for private office space, ensuring a high tour-to-close ratio and maximizing occupancy.
- Lead renewal discussions with existing members, offering tailored solutions to encourage retention and expansion.
- Proactively prospect and generate leads for private offices. Work with the onsite teams as needs arise for conference room sales, coworking memberships, and virtual office/mailbox sales.
- Execute retention strategies to sustain high occupancy rates and drive long-term member engagement.
- Implement effective negotiation and closing techniques, ensuring each deal aligns with customer needs and business goals.
- Collaborate with Center Location Teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new members.
Pipeline Development & Prospecting
- Maintain an active and qualified sales pipeline, tracking conversion rates and market trends to meet revenue goals.
- Utilize CRM tools, market research, and outbound outreach (email, cold calling, social media) to build and manage a strong lead funnel.
- Create and implement sales enablement tools (pitch decks, case studies, marketing materials) to support lead generation efforts.
Business Development
- Support the CRO and business development team in establishing and maintaining referral partnerships with brokers, business consultants, legal professionals, and accountants to drive new business.
- Assist in Shift Workspaces’ presence at networking events, industry panels, and small business forums, ensuring alignment with overall brand initiatives.
- Help strengthen relationships with local chambers of commerce, business organizations, and community groups to expand referral networks.
Administrative & Strategic Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate deal tracking, timely follow-ups, and pipeline updates within the CRM system.
- Act as a liaison between sales, marketing, and operations, ensuring alignment on business objectives.
- Provide regular sales performance reports and market insights to leadership.
- Stay informed on Shift Workspaces’ offerings, competitor strategies, and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
- Participate in team meetings and feedback loops, adapting sales strategies to evolving market conditions.
Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in business development, direct sales, or outbound sales, preferably in real estate or coworking.
- Proven success in managing a full sales cycle, including renewals and retention strategies.
- Experience using CRM tools (Salesforce, Yardi Kube preferred) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong negotiation, closing, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Active community involvement and willingness to represent Shift Workspaces at events.

Base Salary Range: $65,000-$70,000 per year
Additional Commission & Bonus Package : Up to $15,000 per year
