Shift Workspaces Response to Covid-19
At Shift Workspaces, your health, safety, and comfort are our top priority. That’s why, in light of the dynamic and evolving COVID-19 situation, we share regular updates and take proactive measures to create a safe coworking environment. As we have reopened our workspaces, we continue to follow the guidelines established by the State of Colorado and the City of Denver for opening with restrictions.
New Sanitization Technology
We’ve spent the past several weeks conducting a thorough assessment of our facilities and installing new technology and systems to support your safe return. We are installing new air filtration systems in each of our buildings that are designed to effectively treat viruses, bacteria, airborne mold, and pollution. These systems include:
- PURO UV Disinfection Lighting
- Airfree Air Purifiers
- IQAir Healthcare Series
- iWave-C Ionization Purifier
Shift Workspaces has also purchased an EvaClean’s Touchless Disinfection & Sanitizing Tool and Protexus Cordless Electrostatic Sprayer that will be utilized when needed.
Preparing our Space
We’ve been following CDC guidelines to ensure all workspaces and common areas maintain the highest levels of cleanliness. We will continue to frequently disinfect all restrooms, kitchens, doorknobs, handles, appliances, countertops, and worktables several times throughout each workday and evening. Hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, soap, and water, or similar disinfectants will also be readily available throughout the offices. Some additional actions that we have implemented include, but are not limited to:
- Furniture has been moved to comply with social distancing efforts
- The Day Porter will thoroughly clean the space a minimum of three times per day
- Signs and decals have been placed throughout the center focusing on social distancing, proper handwashing, self-screening, mask protocol, and other efforts
- Foot pulls are being installed on restroom doors
- Disposable masks will be made available to all staff as well as members – please note that per the City of Denver, these will be required in all public spaces
- Our team members will perform a wellness self-screening, along with temperature checks, prior to entering the building each day
- Any team member handling food will wear a mask and gloves
- We will be installing clear plexiglass on desks per individual request
- We have temporarily removed restroom and wellness amenities such as dry shampoo, Advil, wipes, etc., but will have these available by request at our reception desks
How you can help
All parties, including guests, will be expected to adhere to social distancing guidelines as directed by local, state, and national authorities. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Maintaining a proper six feet of distance at all times
- Wearing face coverings that go over both the nose and mouth
- Ensuring you and your employees are performing a wellness self-screening before entering the building
- Washing or disinfecting hands upon entering and after any interaction with other individuals.
- If you exhibit COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms such as respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath, or breathing difficulties, please err on the side of caution and do not enter the building, and reach out to a healthcare provider before returning to the building.
Note the additional information regarding proactive measures and business resources:
The Helo F2 is a new, cutting-edge medical device that emits broad spectrum UV light to disinfect entire rooms and eliminates up to 99.9% of the bacteria, viruses, and fungi in treated areas. This technology is routinely used in hospitals and operating rooms across the country. Shift uses portable Puro units to disinfect our conference rooms, kitchens, bars and workspaces.
IQAir New Edition HealthPro air purifiers are the top-rated air purifiers in the United States. While most HEPA air purifiers claim to be effective at capturing particles down to 0.3 microns, IQAir’s revolutionary HyperHEPA filtration system is proven to capture particles 100 times smaller, down to 0.003 microns; 10 times smaller than a virus. These ultra-fine particles are the most harmful to our health and represent 90% of the air pollution we breathe. Shift uses this air filtration system in the common areas of all our facilities.
The Airfree Onix 3000 air sterilizer features totally-silent operation and kills 99.99% of airborne microorganisms using patented Airfree sterilizer technology. The Onix 3000 moves air through natural air convection. The Onix’s patented ceramic core heats the air up to 400°F, sterilizing it and eliminating harmful ozone, fungus, bacteria, allergens, viruses, mold, dust and more. The air is then cooled and returned back into the room, providing safe air for Shift members to breathe. The Airfree Onix 3000 is energy-efficient and does not require maintenance or filters. Shift has deployed the Airfree Onix 3000 in all conference rooms, kitchens and coworking areas at all locations.
