Business Plan Contest

Welcome to Shift Workspaces’ annual Business Plan Contest for 2023.  Shift Workspaces, along with our dedicated team, is a fantastic place where entrepreneurs and businesses can thrive.  We are always looking for ways to give back to our community and we cannot think of a better way to help a small business succeed than to give them a place to call home for a year. We are very excited to offer a year of complimentary coworking space inside of one of our luxurious locations to the winning team. Rules/Eligibility/Criteria:

1. All submitted business plans will be kept in strict confidentiality.
2. Contest is available to new small businesses which have been established for less than one year.
3. Submitted business plans will be accepted from businesses which consist of 4 or less total employees, team members or partners.
4. The winner(s) of the contest must agree to document their growth, challenges, and successes monthly for the period of one year, this will be a high level, less than a page status update drafted by the winner(s).
5. The winner(s) of the contest will allocate one hour every month to have a progress status update meeting with the Senior Management Team (“SMT”) at Shift Workspaces.  During this meeting, the Shift SMT will offer feedback and guidance to the team, this is meant to help the winner of the contest to continue to succeed, not to criticize or direct the winners, just simply to help if needed.
6. While protecting vital company information, the winner(s) agree to allow Shift Workspaces to discuss the progress of the winner(s) on social media and or other platforms.
7. Business plans need to be written and submitted consisting of  5 pages or less and must include the following:
   1. Financial forecasts
   2. Discuss short and long-term objectives
   3. Provide a growth/marketing approach
   4. Must provide a detailed one-year set of goals
   5. Discuss or list the 5 key success metrics which will be monitored by the company during the year
   6. SWOT analysis
8. Business plans must be submitted by November 1, 2023.
9. The winner(s) will be notified by December 1, 2023.
10. Winners will have co-working access to one of Shift Workspace’s locations for calendar year 2024.
